Radioactive Molecules: New Laboratories for Fundamental Physics

Radioactive molecules are emerging as promising tools to investigate fundamental physics, offering unique sensitivity to phenomena beyond the Standard Model. Unlike radioactive atoms, which have been used for decades, the molecular structure adds rotational and vibrational degrees of freedom that can amplify signals from fundamental interactions.…

NASA Sounding Rocket to Launch Student Experiments

NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia is scheduled to launch a sounding rocket carrying student-developed experiments. These experiments are part of the agency's RockSatX and RockOn programs, designed to provide technical training and hands-on experience to university students.

The launch is set for Wednesday, June 24, between 5:30 and 9:30 a.m. EDT, with Thursday, June 25, as a backup day. These programs are crucial for preparing the next generation of space engineers and scientists, offering them the opportunity to design, build, and test their own instruments in a real flight environment.
