NASA has announced the celebration of International Observe the Moon Night, an annual event inviting the public to look up at our natural satellite. This year, the event will take place on Saturday, September 19, and will feature activities organized by the U.S. space agency nationwide, including a main event at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.

The initiative aims to foster interest in lunar science and space exploration, especially following recent milestones such as the Artemis II mission. In April, this mission marked a significant achievement by sending four astronauts to orbit the Moon, the first time in over 50 years that humans had made such a close approach to our satellite. These public events are crucial for connecting citizens with scientific advancements and future space missions.
