Commercial Service Data Quality (CSDA) assessment reports are crucial for informing the user community about the reliability and accuracy of commercial Digital Elevation Models (DEMs). These models are three-dimensional representations of the Earth's surface, and their quality is vital for a wide range of scientific and practical applications, from climate modeling and water resource management to urban planning and navigation. Rigorous evaluation ensures that the data are fit for purpose and minimizes potential errors in research or projects that utilize them.

In this context, a specific evaluation has been conducted on the EarthDEM elevation products, developed by the Polar Geospatial Center. These products are particularly important due to their focus on polar regions, areas that present unique challenges for mapping and obtaining precise elevation data due to ice cover, extreme weather conditions, and difficult access.
