Recent analyses of small-scale cosmic microwave background (CMB) data, combined with DESI observations, suggest a larger scalar spectral index ($n_s$) than previously expected. Traditionally, monomial alpha-attractor T-models can be reconciled with these data if the power of the hyperbolic tangent function is $p \geq 6$ (with $p$ even). However, the supergravity construction of these models assumes that lower powers of the potential remain negligible during inflation and reheating. A recent study explores the consequences of moving beyond this monomial formulation, considering a binomial potential that includes quadratic and quartic terms.
