NASA has announced a new public-private partnership with the company Relativity Space to advance Mars science. This collaboration will combine the agency's scientific leadership with commercial innovation, aiming to optimize resources and accelerate the development of future missions. The initiative is part of NASA's strategy to foster private sector participation in space exploration.

According to the details of the partnership, NASA will provide the Aeolus atmospheric-science instrument payload suite. Relativity Space, in turn, will be responsible for supplying the spacecraft, rocket, and cruise operations necessary to deliver these instruments to Mars. This joint working model allows NASA to focus on scientific payload development, while the private company handles the logistical and engineering aspects of launch and interplanetary trajectory.
