A volunteer has developed a machine-learning tool to identify specific types of clouds that are exhibiting anomalous behavior. These clouds, which are appearing more frequently and at lower altitudes than usual, are under study in the NASA-supported Space Cloud Watch project.

The aim of this initiative is to understand the factors influencing these changes in cloud formation. To this end, the Space Cloud Watch project collects images of these atmospheric formations submitted by citizens worldwide, thereby contributing to scientific research on Earth's climate and atmosphere.
